Music

Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy. Music is the electrical soil in which the spirit lives, thinks and invents.
~Ludwig van Beethoven

This is the quote I wrote in my diary over and over at around age 12, and it is true to me today. I deeply love music and the flute for all of these reasons. The flute is my friend, a vehicle to express emotions and thoughts, tell a story. She is inspiration, one way to take time every day for myself, and in concert also a beautiful possibility to be of service and share joyfully great music, as well as to meet people and new places. Just exciting!

I am always looking forward to get together and rehearse and perform with my old chamber music partners and collaborators as well as with new ones. To create special programs is one of my favorite things to do. To play baroque music on modern flute, but informed, is as much fun as to really play on the early instrument (Baroque flute) and in relaxing feeling 415! But equally I very much can dive into music of  the 21. Century as the language of our time and easily adventure into electronic music and include the low flutes with their warmer timbre.
